nani iro dresses

I've left my camera charger in Toronto and, for some reason, I am unable to get myself to buy a new one, so I haven't had any photos for a little bit. But I did do a post for the purl bee about some dresses I made. I really made them for myself!

I love these dresses, I've worn them out and about already. The fabric is different from regular fabric, if you've never felt it before. I think it's a way to have a lightweight fabric that isn't sheer, and it's perfect for a humid climate.

I've been knitting a little, also planning to make a dress for a wedding later in the month. My serger hadn't been working and I was so angry at it when it discovered it was... USER ERROR! Gasp! Maybe I can finally work on all of those knits I've been planning to make!

They both look great, but I especially love the pink one. I wish I had your sewing skills! (Well, I wish I had any sewing skills, for that matter, but if I'm wishing for some, I might as well wish for some really good ones!)

Wow! Great job on the dresses! I need to start making some for the summer. But I'm so bad at picking out the "right" fabric prints. You always seem to come up with such great sewing projects. ^_^

Drool.... These dresses are so very pretty. I'm headed to NYC in a couple of weeks and I'm awfully tempted to stop at Purl Patchwork for supplies to make my very own...

Yay very nice fabric and very nice dresses :D
A dear friend of mine is going to Tokyo and Kyoto in ten days, maybe you know any addresses of interesting fabric shops there where he can buy some nice fabric like this?
