250th post giveaway!
I promised a giveaway on my last post, and here it is!
I love giveaways, mainly because it's a fun way to thank all of the many people who make a blog a blog. It would really just be a bunch of words and photos without all of you who comment on the blog. Thank you!! And even people who stop by just to look (which I do all the time on many a blog) I really appreciate that you take the time to do so. I've met so many fantastic people in the blogging world that I am really happy to call my friends. The community we have all created is so special to me - it's made me a more thoughtful and creative crafter. Here's my way of thanking all of you.
I've been contemplating a giveaway since my 200th post. Unfortunately, our Japan trip got in the way, so I decided to wait until a less busy time to do this. I wish I could give everyone a gift, but since that would be way cost prohibitive, I'll do the standard random number generator thing. But what am I giving away? In the tradition of that great reality show Amazing Race - you'll have a choice, or a Detour. This one's called "MAKE or MADE". (cue dramatic music!)
In "MAKE", you'll get a gift you can use to MAKE something. Are you a knitter who wants some beautiful yarn? Here are some items you might win!
How about fabric? I've shown some of my work in the past - has anything really sparked your interest?
Maybe my collection of Japanese craft books has gotten your creative juices flowing. Is there one your particularly love? (this will be contingent on the condition that I'll be able to find a copy of it for you).
In "MADE", you'll get a custom handcrafted sewn gift from me. Do you like the pigs I've made?
Or my bags? How about a cat?

So here's how the giveaway will work - just leave a comment with the word "MAKE" or "MADE" in it. You'll have until Friday September 8th noon PST to leave one. I'll choose a winner (or winners!) using a random number generator. I'll announce the winners and I'll either peruse your blog to figure what I'll send you or we'll have a little email chat to decide what you want. Fun for all!

A giveaway is so tempting I had to post. I have really enjoyed reading your blog and I LOVE all of the items you have made in the past, especially your hand sewn bags. I also especially enjoyed your posts on your trip to Japan. You described the people and country so wonderfully - the photos were excellent. I have since added Japan to my travel wish list!
