Baby shower numero dos!
Last Saturday, Rob and I threw a baby shower for our friends Ryan and Megan. Although is was a more low-key event than baby shower number one, Rob made sure that the food was first-class.
For those of you who have seen Ratatouille, yes, that is the dish from the movie! Here's the recipe we used. Rob also made two delicious frittatas.
We decided to have people create some freezer paper stencil onesies. Ryan and Megan don't know if it's a boy or girl yet, so we tried to make them as unisex as possible.
I made the baby a little pig because it'll be born in the year of the pig!
Even though he's small, the pig made quite the impact on Ryan.
Finally, I made them a quilt using the same fabrics as the quilt I made for Sarita, but in a coin quilt design. I created the pattern myself, I couldn't find a pattern on the web.
It's photographed on Ryan and Megan's green bedspread - I think the two quilts look good together, don't you?
Next post - my 250th post! I think it's time for a giveaway!

I love your idea for the onesie stencil - I may have to use that! Beautiful quilt!
Looks like fun! And your handiwork is spectacular as usual. I just love that little piggie!
What a great shower! Thank you or the link to the wonderful recipe! The onesie and pig are darling - the pice de la resistance - the quilt - is beautiful and looks great on their bed! I love the pattern idea. Lucky friends, lucky babay!:)
I am so jealous of your sewing! It's always so lovely!!!
I love the pig! My baby is going to be born in the Year of the Pig also.
The quilt is gorgeous.
Yummy yummy! The quilt looks great too and it does go with their bedspread! You're awesome hosts and party throwers!

i've been "lurking" around your blog for a few months now, and I really enjoy your aesthetic. I'm new to the knitting game, and even newer to sewing (just three weeks ago I bought my first machine.) The images you post of the generous gifts you create are inspiring! thank you!

Oh the onesie with the 3 bunnies is just too adorable and I want that pig! I think it's great you made the pig for the baby born in the year of the pig. Pigs are wonderful. On the quilt; at first I thought the green quilt was the border it works so well together.
Love the onesies idea, how clever and they all look wonderful. The quilt is gorgeous, and I am sure the baby will love the green to look at. The little pig is so cute too.
What a beautiful baby shower. I'm sure they'll be delighted with all these lovely handmade treasures.
The quilt is lovely and the piggy, adorable!
