Catching up on blogging

I realize that my posts this summer are few and far between. Last summer, I made two kitty pies, two bears, two shawls, four sweaters and six pairs of socks. This summer, I have made a total of one bag, one vest, and two pairs of socks. What???? What happened? Well, the main thing is that I've been getting ready for the school year. When I decide between knitting and figuring out what to teach 9 and 10 year olds for the next year, I've been leaning towards the teaching. I've also just kind of been kind of lazy and I couldn't figure out what project I wanted to knit. But, I've missed knitting and I'm ready to start up again!

Like Stephanie, I'll be test knitting a sweater pattern for Sundara Yarn. I'll take a pic of the beautiful yarn in the next couple of days, but here's some other pics.

We saw Gnarls Barkley perform at the Orange County fair the day before we left for Kauai. They were wearing matching tennis outfits, which made Rob smile.

Rob was fascinated by the roosters roaming Kauai.

A friendly Hawaiian cat.

A pretty photo of the Hanalei pier.

And to prove I did do some knitting during my vacation, one and a eighth finished Petals Collection socks. I think they're coming out very nicely.

Love the flashback photo of Rob! And the detail on the back of the sock is lovely.

Pretty sock!

So... did the matching pink shirt wearing team wear their shirts to confuse/intimidate their competition? Or was that their natural choice??

Is that a chicken crossing the road? ;)

Your socks are gorgeous, she's such an amazing dye artist!
