They grow so fast!

This week's Flashback Friday (on a Friday for once) is dedicated to my super cute niece Anna, who is a little over 4 years old. Here are a couple of photos of when she was 3 1/2 months old.

She was just learning to smile at this point.

I used to have this photo at my desk at work. I love the expression on Anna's face. Doesn't it look like she just saw something and can't believe her eyes? Bigfoot? Santa Claus? Easter Bunny? We'll never know.

The stuffed animal is a Japanese character called "AnpanMan" (Sweet Bean Roll Man), who is described as: "a superman born from a popular Japanese snack called an anpan. An idealist, Anpanman is the fairytale hero of the bread world. When he fights for justice, he often gets badly hurt, however, with the help of Uncle Jam, he can be revitalized over and over again." We used to call Anpanman Anna's boyfriend because she loved loved loved him. Gotta love those wacky Japanese characters!

Love it! I was thinking about Anna's red flower outfit the other day and was trying to remember what age she wore it... glad someone in the family remembers!
Four years later, Anna is revisiting AnpanMan... she has a video and loves it even though it's all in Japanese :)

Here of the bread world!?

What a cute kid...I love seeing baby pictures these days. It gives me lots to daydream about. I hope my child falls in love with something as interesting and cool. I better start researching Japanese super characters!

She still looks the same. Now she's just got more hair and taller.
