My first pair of socks!

Happy Fourth! I finished my socks to celebrate!

These are definitely the most comfortable socks I own. The socks are from the same dye lot but the greens are different colors. That's ok - I still love them. I haven't worn them out yet, just around the house. Maybe when I have a few more pairs under my belt I will actually wear them out in public. I must say that it's very difficult to photograph socks. My feet looked way too big or funny. This took about 15 shots before I was happy with any of them.

I've started Rob's socks.

The yarn is Lang Jawoll Jacquard. I like the jacquard effect but the socks feel a little scratchy to me. I'm hoping that will disappear after washing them. And yes, I'm still using Magic Loop. I love it!

I love the pattern on Rob's socks! That's so neat to see what the yarn looks like.

Your first socks rock! I agree with purly whites, you should definitely wear them out! There's no reason not to. I have sooo many projects to start right now, but I have been planning to try socks. Maybe I'll order that mississippi 3 print from yarn market to tempt me even more. :)

holy sock making skills. I am curious about knitting socks but have been a little afraid to. I want to do the magic loop with the socks but dunno where to start. Could you point me to some references?
