It's a phone! It's a Palm! It's a camera!
Rob recently got a Palm Treo for work. It's not only a phone and a Palm, but has a camera and you can easily surf the web with it. The photos aren't that great, but it's good to have when we don't have the camera.
Over Rob's birthday weekend, we saw Revenge of the Sith at:
The Cinerama Dome at the Arclight. There's something so fun about seeing a movie there.
Rob had a hankering for some hot dogs so we went to:
Pinks on La Brea. Supposedly Orson Welles used to go there and order a dozen hot dogs.
I can't eat a dozen of these! I can barely eat one! (I'm wearing Klaralund!)
Last Wednesday we went with our friends Megan and Ryan to one of my favorite things to do in LA, Last Remaining Seats. Every June, the LA Conservancy hosts movies downtown in these great old movie theaters. Most of the theaters have either been converted for other use (like churches) or just remain behind closed doors. We saw Ninotchka with Greta Garbo at the Orpheum Theater, which has been restored.
There was an organist playing before the show (the bright white thing is the organ).
The organ pipes were above the box seats.
Hmmm, I think we got there early. Look at all the empty seats! Hi Ryan! Hi Megan!
I must admit, Rob and I are pretty fanatical when it comes to seating. These older theaters tend not to have very good legroom, so we like to get there and get the first row balcony seats. Great view!
