Whale Watching? Maybe next time!

Rob and I finally both had a day off on Sunday - no school, no building viewing platforms, nothing! So we decided to go down to Long Beach to go whale watching.

We had plenty of time before the boat left to walk around and enjoy the weather - the weather hasn't been so good here lately... which I think everyone knows about. So we climbed to this small lighthouse to wait until about 11:30. (You can see me at the base if you look really, really hard.)

But, as all things usually are with us, there was a long line by the time we got back to the dock. So we decided to wait until another day (or year) to go whale watching.

We went down to San Pedro to eat some seafood. It's an experience in and of itself. There are a couple of fish markets where you buy the fish and they cook it for you right there. There are entire families that go and all share off the same tray. The two most common ways were to either deep fry the fish or to barbeque it.

We've decided to kidnap Mina and my mom for a day for a big fish eating bonanza. They can eat more than anyone I know.

On a different note, I can't believe how hard it's been to blog lately. Not from lack of ideas but lack of a. time and 2. photos. It seems like everyone hits "blogger's block" every once in a while. So, to all you who still read this blog (probably Mina and Mama) I apologize for the lack of content in our blog. I promise to put up more videos, knitting projects and cat photos in the near future.
