An unfinished Orangina

I've had to wait until my photographer (Rob) was available to take photos of my latest FO's to post. Of course, I've decided to start with the unfinished one that will probably never be finished.

It's the infamous Orangina by Glampyre. I started knitting this a year ago, and it lay dormant for a while. At first, I didn't enjoy knitting the lace, but I slowly got into it. What I had problems with was the ribbing. The combination of the Rowan 4 ply cotton and tiny needles hurt my hands too much. So I just decided to bind off and see where it was at. After blocking, it's still way too short.

I've decided that Orangina was more of a process project than one that I was meant to wear. What will happen to it? I'll probably give it to my friend Huay or just keep it around to remind myself that I need to pick projects that I will enjoy making and finishing.

Tomorrow? A project that I enjoyed making and finishing AND where I learned lots of new techniques!

Really? You think you'll give it away? It looks so pretty on you though. Maybe you can continue the ribbing for a few more inches and see if you like it better. On the other hand, we don't want poor Mari's hands to hurt from knitting.

Awww... sorry that you don't like it.. if you have teh patience, you defintely can rip back to the lace and lengthen it. But it sounds like you've had enough. There's no use in beating a dead horse right?
