Socks and more cats
I completed my Vera Socks over the weekend.
These were knit in Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sport. I wasn't thrilled with the patterning that was happening with the yarn, but I decided to just go with it. I actually think they came out kind of neat! And the yarn is so comfy and the socks went by so fast. I promise not to start another pair until Rob's second sock is finished.
Unki's obligatory "I wanna be in the picture!" shot.
I also ran Kitty Pi #2 through the wash one more time and I'm happy to say it was a success. Here's a little photo essay of what happened when it was done.
A happy Kitty Pi!
I put Maggie in to test it.
Unki comes along to see what's going on.
A fight ensues.
Unki is triumphant. Poor Maggie! This scenario happens about 10 times a day. I comforted Maggie with some love and she seemed to be fine. Of course, Unki is only interested in the Kitty Pies when Maggie is in them.

Cute socks! The stripey/pooling is very cool looking.
Bad kitty! They do look so cute in those pies.
Your socks are adorable. The pooling worked and looks very cool.
wooo. nice socks - i do like the striping because it's got the radiating gray within. and poor Maggie!!!
I think the socks look stripeylicious! ha! No, seriously, I like the way the colors came out. Very nice.
I really like the sock pattern. You are a sock knitting machine! I love the kitty pi storyline. At first I thought Unki might squeeze in with Maggie and they could be snuggle bunnies. I guess not!! I wish I had a kitty! :)
Love the socks! And can't believe Truman got away with that! Is Maggie turning soft(er) on us?!
The socks are totally cool. The patterning is amazing.
