My skirt

It took me a couple of weeks, but I finished my skirt!

Pattern - Simplicity 4356
Fabric - Destination India linen blend

I am cheating a bit - the skirt is missing a hook and eye but it's wearable so I say it's done! All in all I'm happy with the skirt but I think it would look better with less fabric - and it would be easier to hem (but it twirls nicely!).

Things I learned:
- I tried to make a big size, learning from Stephanie's entry, but I think I could have gone one size bigger.
- My sewing machine has a blind hem function? Why did I read about it AFTER I hemmed my skirt?
- Sewing is relatively easy but it makes my back hurt. I would not make a good sweatshop worker.
- Using a print helps hide all of my sewing flaws. Woo hoo!

I can't wait for the next project - thank you to Stephanie and Yai-Ann for having the idea for the sewalong. I would never have finished the skirt otherwise!

I love how it drapes and I can imagine how pretty it is when you twirl! I soooo want to make a skirt but need a sewing machine first!

Lovely fabric, too! Nice job!
